Energy Saving Light Bulbs
Though is seems that scientists are coming up with a new energy-efficent bulb according to this blog, I wanted to write a word about them. Way before I went to college (probably in 2005/06), I bought four of these light bulbs for the ceiling fan in my room. This was before the government started to promote them and I only bought them because I heard that they lasted longer than normal bulbs and the bulbs in my ceiling fan were dying every month. I barely ever had all lights working. Now, the same bulbs are still there and not one has gone out. On top of that, they are still just as bright (and let me tell you, my parents were making fun of how bright the light coming out of my room was when I first bought them.) I find that just amazing especially since the bulbs went out so fast in the ceiling fan in the first place. I think that, just because of that, they are SUPER worth the cost. I don’t even care about the energy saving part. If the new bulbs don’t last as long… I probably would never buy them.
I know this is late since energy saving bulbs aren’t really that interesting anymore, but I just moved back into my parent’s house for the summer and realized how long these bulbs have really lasted. (3 or 4 years!)
